Too much holidays is bad for you
For a lack of better things to do (literally) and too much time, i find myself back here writing for the first time in what seems like an eternity. I'm not surprised no one has blogged for a long time in lieu of the fact that facebook has rendered blogging all but obsolete. While facebook is indeed a convenient tool for keeping updated with people by means of wall, photos, recent activities etc, the fact remains that it doesn't show who we really are. We control what others see, that is to say we put up superficial representations of ourselves that portray us favorably, while keeping our true selves hidden. So in the midst of this facebook-obsessed age, i find it mildly therapeutic to do some honest blogging for once. And to be very honest, i have never hated 'holidays' this much in my entire life. 'Holidays' because a more accurate term would be free time to do something useful or 'seven month gap between army and university to do some productive work', whereas the actual meaning of 'holiday' would go something along the lines of 'a break between school or work (of which i am in neither category) to have fun'. And for the first time I have to admit that my holiday coincides with neither definitions, which leads me to the tragic conclusion that it could only be wasted time. While army was quite a waste of time as well, the difference is that in army I was wasting time by default, but now I'm wasting time by choice, and knowing this alone is what's keeping me from enjoying what is supposed to be a good seven months rest before uni starts. To be fair, I only have myself and my laziness to blame, but I wonder if my stance would have changed much once all the office saikang and paperwork starts to come in. I have always been of the view that no amount of outside work can be worse than what I went through in army, but now i'm starting to think otherwise. As they say, the grass always looks greener on the other side. As for now, I can only bide my time and hope that starting university will bring the much needed refreshing change to the dull drudgery and monotony that is my life. But on a brighter note, God is good, even when life isn't. Things pretty much went into decline for me since JC ended, and it can't possibly get much worse. And i'm of the opinion that you guys are probably having it way better than me, so good for you if you are, and if you're not (i'd be very surprised), look two sentences back. Well it's been slightly over two and a half years since we all last saw one another in acjc uniform, but somehow it feels like two hundred years; such was the suffering that I endured in those two years. Yet strangely enough it feels like it was just yesterday that we were in the LTs copying down notes/sleeping, sitting in the void deck talking cock and eating the crap canteen food, in the classrooms throwing frisbee/talking cock/actually listening. And it feels kind of sad knowing that we'll never be able to relive those days. I guess much has happened this two and a half years. We've all gone our separate paths, are now are probably just about as close to one another as our ex-primary school best friend. Some of us have changed a lot, some not so much, but the fact remains we've changed to some degree. And while we may be in denial, the fact remains that we'll all be 21 this year (making us old people/adults) whether we like it or not. So i just thought I'd like to take this opportunity to blanket wish you guys a HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY! (this way i save a lot on smsing and typing on facebook walls); if yours is over then make it belated. Ok i think I've deviated enough from the script (which probably means it's time to stop), so here's wishing all you guys from SC2 class of '05 a very fruitful, meaningful and gratifying adulthood ahead, and (at the risk of sounding cliche) above all let us hold fast to our immortal catchphrase/motto THE BEST IS YET TO BE.

Answer
Verily simply,

Take 10 people,

Feed each one seed for each of the different jars,

Then see who gets sick.

Viola!

IQ question :) Try solving!!!
Hello!!!

Haha. I'm here to spice up our blog thats been going dead. Anyway, heres an IQ question:

I have 10 containers.
I have 2 types of seeds. poisonous & non-poisonous.
The poisonous seed weighs 0.01g
The non-poisonous seed weighs 0.1g.
In each container there are 10 seeds of only 1 type. so either poisy or non-poisy. get it?

Out of 10 containers, only 1 container contains poisonous seeds. The rest contain non-poisonous seeds.

Now, I only have 1 weighing balance. I can only take ONE reading.

How can I differentiate which container contains the 10 poisonous seeds?????

haha..give it a shot :)

In the meantime, happy hols!
CHeers!!!!

red blue gold
hey guys the sc2 thing on 24th is cancelled. (our seniors cancelled it.)

however, there's red blue gold dinner at acjc going on.

the propaganda: it's a dinner for acsians past and present to meet.

the reality: it's a largely scone and council dominated dinner thing.

BUT this time, it's a bit like founders day. they're really getting all the batches to come, and the space is a lot bigger. it's quite alright to be honest, for catching up, there is light entertainment and damn funny auctions. like ac flag and stuff. so yes please if you can come. sms me (or tag the board) if you're keen. or wait for me to ask you if you're not. hur. it's 20 bucks. which is just a little green note more than the mega sc2 dinner thing. on the 24th of march.
